Grind edges of hole tapering out, cut various pieces of glass smaller to larger prolly 3 layers per side. Wet glass w/ epoxy resin (assuming its your kawi) and lay up inside one day then scuff and lay outside the next day. Then let that set up and use a 410 or 406 filler in epaxy resin to spead on outside and smoth it out then sand to a nice smooth 300 grit finnish then paint match best U can.

For a temporary fix I would use duct tape. Then go ride. You have all winter to do little stuff like that. Here is a huge crack in the fiberglass that has been repaired with my method...

Isnt just slapping a quick square of biax and epoxy resin on the inside almost as quick and easy as a sticker/duct tape but much stronger?
