I have my tray cut out for a refoam right now, and I'm debating being lazy and reglassing the old tray, or just carving my own tray out of foam exactly how I want it and glassing over it. I plan on using biax 17oz glass, how many layers should I do?

ok i personally think shaping the foam and laying a couple layers of glass onto the tray is the way to go, its much easier and stronger than reusing the old stuff.
i used 2 layers with 4" strips in the corners on the sides. holding up GREAT. extremely abused too.
