How thick is it?

Mine is really thin you can stand on it and it will bow. Which is plenty strong enough if you only put standups on it and watch what you are doing.

If you are building one like I have then where the nose of the ski sits on the stop make it a little stronger. If someone borrows your dolly and puts a blaster on it and pulls it all the way to the front. All the weight is between the wheels and the handle and not ballanced over the wheels the thing will bend untill it cracks. O know that it a stupid way to put it on the dolly it makes it super heavy to move but someone did it and broke mine at Lanier last year. Right in front of the bow holder.

This isn't my dolly but it is just like it

That's one of the nicest custom built dolly’s that I have ever seen. :biggthumpup:

I just check the thickness on my Bigfoot and it's about 1/16 or 0.063" or 1.588mm by 2-1/4" square aluminum tubing.

I buy most of my metal from online metals web site and they ship it right to your door via UPS.

Mine isn't custom it is just like that one but has a roller instead of the foot for the bow to sit on. I found it on ebay "buy it now" for $100. When I got it it was in a huge box mostly assembled with Tigershark written all over it.

I am think ing of buliding a hybrid of one like Speedfreak's and one like the pic. I was curoius about the thickness is beacause the dock lader my friend gave me is almost .160 wall thickness:bigeyes:, also I didnt know how thick the big companies use and the .160 is almost $10.00 per foot vs. $5.00/ft for Aluminum 6061-T6 Bare 1.625" x 0.058" x 1.509" which is what ill probably use alnong with some rectangle tube for the tounge and wheel supports. thanks for the help and info.
