How "Superjet" is your Superjet?

People always ask me what kind of ski I have, and I say "it used to be a Superjet". That got me thinking about which parts of my ski are original and unmolested. I was a bit shocked at how small the list is, although I know others have shorter lists.

Here are the things on my ski that are exactly as they came from the factory. Starting at the front:

Nose foam
Water box and pipe downstream from there
Throttle cable
Motor mounts
Bed plates
Starter
Hood seal
Midshaft
Driveshaft
Wear ring

I think that's about it. Having bought the ski new I feel rather proud of how little of it is left!

So what about you? How much of your Superjet is still as Yamaha intended it?

My list on my RN is smaller than yours:

no nose foam
stock waterbox
kawasaki throttle
stock motor mounts
stock bedplates
aftermarket starter
DIY hood seal
stock midshaft
aftermarket driveshaft
unknown wear ring

EDIT: I forgot:
stock start/stop switch
stock pole bolt

but I didnt start with a stock ski like you did; mine was built from an old Wammer hull and leftover parts.

interesting lists, what about engine cases and starter?

I got so carried away upgrading stuff on my 96 superjet that it looks like a Trinity Matrix now, lol.

Stock Superjet parts left unmodded...or mostly unmodded anyway.

Nose foam,
Fuel tank,
Waterbox,
Long Exhaust Hose
e-box housing,
voltage regulator
Midshaft and coupler,
wear ring,
hood seal,
engine cases, crank, bendix, bedplates,
pole bolt,
steering stop nut,
pump shoe...

Since I got my first SJ (Later Hull Replacement) the only items that I am still using are:

Bedplates
Battery Cables
Main Exhaust Hose
Bolts
Electrical Box

Everything else has been replaced. I still have my original cylinders, they were ported by TLR in 2003 and Retired in 2007 when my crank let go. Paul resleeved them for me a year or so ago and they sit on a shelf as a backup to his 84mm Cylinders that I am running now.

I have replaced 95% of the hardware on both my skis with stainless Allen Head bolts.

Between the 2 superjets and parting a couple couches I must have 50 lbs of OEM bolts on the shelf.
