I need to order my supplies for reinforcing the hull and foaming the back.

from what i researched i will be going with 1708 Knytex Biaxial, and 2 or 3 lb foam. but i couldn't find amounts of each.

now the question is how much of both do i need?

Fiberglass:
i will be completely de/refoaming the back of the ski. so i will be reinforcing in the back as well. does the bulkhead or the bottom need glass too? or should i just do the bond line? should i go with the 38" or 50" wide?

Foam:
how many cubic feet to do the tray? i also want to foam in the nose to replace the Styrofoam.

i will be ordering more than i need but don't know how much i need to get by.

thanks in advanced.

You will want to fill in the bond line in the back for sure. They do leak. As for reinforcing, I would only do what you need to. Glass + resin = heavy?

this is why i am defoaming cause the thing drips for days after i use it. so i was gonna fill the bond line with west and 404, and lay glass on the bond line.

Get 5yards of knytex. and a gallon set and quart set of the foam. I did that and I had enough to re-enforce my hull, and in the rear before i put foam in too, the handlepole bracket area, the nose, and glass the tray back up with 4layers of kyntex over the whole tray, and make a new hood baffle for my squarenose hood, and had some glass left over. I ran out of the gallon and finished it off with the quarts of foam when I refoamed. It was also all done with a gallon of west system resin and a quart of west system hardener along with using it for 404 body filler. If you go the route I did you will have spent just about $200 in materials, but it's worth it because they go a long way.
