You guys have all been brainwashed into thinking it takes a huge motor and a carbon fiber hull to pull off a backflip, what it actually takes is a hull that is not waterlogged and weighs a ton, a decent motor , a large set of balls and a good setup wake.

You forgot a large amount of technical skill. The less you have of that, the lighter the hull and the bigger the motor you need.

Iv seen a backflip just like that with a stock sj hull base and meterial and a dasa stock stroke 760. Says nothing about not being a DASA JAPAN
cyl 85mm bore with flats, 200/230 psi head, hmmm?

You would have very thin sleeves at that point and maybe one overbore left.
Do it right and install big bore sleeves.

oh i see.........so 701 cases bored out? if this is the case..... can i max out my bore in my cylinders and make more power? im at 200 lbs of compression.

You can get some big bore sleeves and run a stock stroke... I'm running lamey ported 85.5mm big bore sleeves in a 61x cylinder with a 68mm stock stroke crank... puts it right at 779cc which is still legal under amature freestyle class... Im running kawi flat top pistons... toby had to shave off the bottom of the skirts a bit to make it work but it's a lot more cost efficient in doing so. (rather than buy the expensive R&D dominator pistons around $150 a piece) If you decide to run flat tops, you will need to change your dome size.
High compression makes the flat top motors come alive... I noticed a big difference switching to full specs... Ed's got it figured out.

i have a very similar ski to his. sj with 760, wet b pipe but single carb. my buddies 701 use to hit harder on the bottom end until it was ported by a pro. insane difference the porting made. i have landed only about a half dozen clean flatwater rolls out of about a thousand tries. its all about the setup wake and getting your pump to hook good. flatwater rolls can be done on a complete stock sj with the right rider.
