How far can you stroke a 62t cylinder

Why would you want to use a 62T cylinder the port timing is already on the high side for freestyle use?

The longer throw cranks will increase the dwell time at the end of the stroke and increase piston speed. This combined with increase distance of your port windows will make the engine almost unusable. The 61x cylinder would probably be the better choice to use since the exhaust ports are 2mm lower. If you install the Northwest big bore sleeves at the full counterbore depth it will make your transfer and boost ports 2mm lower but your limited to the smaller bore sizes with larger cranks because the domes deeper you machine the domes the more you have to worry about o-ring failures. Cylinder head spacer plates can also be used but they're getting harder to find and you are limited by piston ring travel at the top of the sleeve.

about 5mm is the limit on the 61x
the 62t exhaust port timing would be getting quite radical at 5mm
i would suggest 4mm
i havent run this through any calculations yet so its just a rough guess

I currently have a 5mm stroker and it hauls the mail. The guy who built my motor had a 91 VXR at one time that had the 6M6 cylinder and it was stroked to 6mm.

If I were you I'd call a shop. The info in here is already conflicting from what I KNOW has been built and that I KNOW kicks ass. I am not going to call anyone out though.

May I suggest Jetworks, since they have been the shop these set ups came from?
