how do you turf the handpole cover?

i really can't see how this is done.

there is no way staples are gonna hold be able to hold it well.

so do you have to take the padding off and glue the turf to that, cause even if i did that i can't imagine wrapping it around with out getting wrinkles.



any one have any input?

I just pulled the OEM padding off, and glued right to the plastic piece. I didn't wrap around the bottom, I just cut the turf flush.

I did it the same way as Jerry almost .Just cut it off flush if you want but I wrapped mine around the underside and used super glue to hold it there forever .Here's a pic

im curious how this would turn out on the square pads.

I did my square 2 years ago and cut it off flush, havnt had any problems what-so-ever with it, if I remember, when I get home on Wednesday, I can post a pik. I just used turf glue also.

I put a layer of HT padding down first then just used the HT contact cement over that for the turf. I used a little heat to wrap it tight around the edges. No problems, and it looks gret cause it matches my mats!
Also lightens up the handle pole quite a bit. at least for me it did.

Use a heat gun to stretch the turf... and contact cement it down..

Since no one mentioned it yet sand the crap out of the plastic with some 80 grit sand paper before you coat both sides with lots of contact cement. I did mine 2 years ago and hasnt budged.
