how do you tell the diff between a 61x stator vs. 62t (non cover mounted)?

I have a couple of stators at home..but not sure which is which....


I guess mayve you cuold look at the wiring if you had the proper cdi to go with it....or maybe not..

is there an easy way to tell?

The 62T is larger in diameter.

do you have a flywheel sitting around? a 61x flywheel will only fit 61x stators. 61x flywheels have about 3 or 4 magnets on the inside , while the 62ts magnets are built in .

thanks guys....got it figured this weekend with the diameter trick.......


also, if you have the cdi..you can look at the white wire with red stripe...look at both ends @ the male/fem terminals...it will only work one way!
