Got this from a house that caught fire. I am going to gut it a cut up the rest. A lot of good parts. Sorry if this is a repost. This is a second try. Everything inside looks good. I have seen this ski run before fire, so I hope it is good. Believe it or not this was sitting right next to what caught fire.

There is still 3/4 of a tank in it. I am suprised also that it didn't go boom. The guy bought a new lawn tractor that leaked gas all the way to his hot water tank. They lost everything including their dog.

That is why you get your water heater up (raised off the ground).

thats why nys law requires any boiler, water heater, source of ignition permanently installed in a home thats within 1 fire door of the garage is required to be placed a minimum of 18" above the floor

They are considering changing that code here in Florida because of the newer style residential gas heaters that no longer utilize a standing pilot.

I have a good many ski's laying around. Running...my x2 and a js 440. I am thinking about putting this in a js hull for s***s and giggles. I think the totals are as follows:

Wet Jet
Stock X2
X2 minus motor in FL
4-440..3 empty hulls
2 junk 650sx

I am going to get rid of a lot of this crap. I need to stop but this one was for my x2. A lot of parts and no motivation. Hopefully I can get a project or two going this winter. I need to get a heated space to work.

its actually a pretty good idea....... i would have prefered they just didnt allow boilers/heaters in garages to begin with but u cant reinvent the wheel...... we actually are supposed to install pylons (sp? metal cement filled posts) in front of appliances when installed in a garage if they are natural gas, oil or propane (they dont give 2 craps if u run over your electric water heater they just dont want it something to blow up when the customers dufus 16 yr old kid pulls into the garage 2 quick)

It was one of those deals where the basement is the garage...hard to explain. The hot water tank was on the other side in a room. I guess the gas or fumes traveled across the garaged and into this room. He has a brand new couch (PWC not Furniture) that he docked, it was normally in the spot that caught fire. To top off all of this he still has to pay for the Lawn Tractor. He recieved a recall a few weeks after this for the tractor that caught fire. They said that there was a possibility that the tractor would leak gas...a little too late! I really felt bad about the dog too. It was an older German Shepard.

Damn Dave where do you come up with this ********? You are way worse than me now! I did go buy that X2 though. To me it was worth it for the FPP, Skat Prop, and the PJS Scoop Grate. I still have the Kehin c42 but I am debating on selling it. I always wanted one wth the accelerator pump. I will probably have to keep it until spring so I can get anything decent out of it.

So here's my tally:

(1) 1993 X2 Complete all stock except for missing floor mats, some added foot straps, and oil injection removed. Do new NGK plugs and a different battery count? lol

(1) 1995 650 X2 hull w/ a bunch of stock part which is my "back up parts supply for my 1993 X2.

(1) 1991 650 SX Hull w/ Hood and a bunch of stock parts. It is for sale if anyone is interested. Doesn't run and needs major cash to make it run. Just worth more for parts if you have a 650 SX like the burnt up one posted here!

(1) 1989 650 X2 It's for sale if anyone is interested. It runs but I have ot put it back together. I bought it for some aftermarket goodies it had on it. Decent paintjob and a fresh top end.
