SXR How do I tell how many hours on the engine?

Just got a letter from Kawasaki changing my warranty period from 200 hours to 175 hours. How do you tell how many hours are on a two stroke engine?

you dont... unless you have installed a meter. most of us go by gallons used.

now, a kawi dealer may be able to get into the engine management and retrieve that info. a lot of stern drives and outboards are like this.
