650/X-2 How do I make my stock X2 turn as well to the left as it turns to the right?

My new (used) stock 1992 X2 turns noticeably better to the right than to the left. This was confirmed by 2 other riders. None of us ride at an expert level so it becomes real obvious because we dont drag our feet or apply any other special techniques to make it turn left.
I checked the jet position in both right and left full turn position and it is identical. We are theorizing that the water flow out the jet is spinning due to the prop direction and that this affects the steering and turning - making it more difficult to go left.
Regardless of the reason, I would like it to have more ability to turn left. I could easily modify the left turn stop and make the jet nozzle turn farther to the left - but I'm not sure that this would solve the issue.

Has anyone out there solved this quirk in the handling, or do I just have to learn to ride around this trait?

Thanks,

Try moving the steering pivot in more towards the nozzle and then readjust your steering to make it straight. This is a yamaha setup, but can be done on a kawi too!

They all do that due to compression of the steering cable and misadjustment at the nozzle.
Be sure to align the nozzle straight and check that the bars are perfectly straight- adjust cable ends as needed.
Doesn't fix it just makes it better. You can tweak the steering to the right to give you a touch more nozzle throw when turning left.

Thanks for the input. I will try a combination of both ideas listed. Bringing the pivot point in should make the nozzle turn farther in both directions. Tweaking the steering center would allow it to go further to the left which would also be good.

Does anyone have any other ideas?
