4 bolts hold the mounting bracket from inside the engine compartment. then remove the nut on the pole pivot bolt and thread the pivot bolt out of the aluminum pole bracket. DO NOT bang it out.

nvm the part about the wires. got that handled, now, how about the pivot bolt. Thread it out? i can't even move it. Am I too weak or is it normally that hard? thinking about calling a buddy to come help me.

They can get corroded and be a real biotch to remove. Be sure you have the nut side off before you try and take out the bolt use a 6 point socket so you don't strip it.

woooo got that. now having trouble with the wires. start/stop cable: just pull through? same for throttle?
disconnect near the box and pull em through.
