Super Jet How do I beef up my stock 2007 Superjet?!?!?

I'm new to the stand-up world. I rode my 2007 superjet stock this past summer, and i want to know what are some basic modifications to kick its performance up. I figured i'd get a ride plate and a new intake grate. Any recommendations as to which kinds or about any other modifications?

There is alot on this topic here, but first, welcome to the X! This is the best site and is superjet friendly :) First figure out what type of rider you wnat to become, and also where you will mainly ride. Surf, flat, both. What types of riding, race, freeride, freestyle, etc. then you can help yourself attain your goals quicker as you will know what direction you would like to go.

Also, check the Tech FAQ section. There's at least one good guide for upgrading your Superjet.

Thank you for the kind words of welcome. I mostly ride in lakes in wisconsin, and I don't know anyone to race, so I'd say its pretty much flat and freeride/freestyle.

Your ride plate is fine for now, later you'll maybe want to look up D cutting it as you want the front end more loose, and for it to ride higher. If you are looking for better hook up, intake grates are a good place to start, works or jet dynamics are most favorites, and the stock impeller is junk, find an 08 to newer or call dave at impros. Oh yeah and for everyone else on here BUY A FACTORY MOD or LIMITED PIPE. best bang for your buck on a SJ. LOL

Would a kit like this be a good idea or not?

It would be a terrible idea, as you're getting charged out the ass for a bunch of stuff you don't need or can get much cheaper used.
Unless you have a pile of money burning a hole in your pocket.
In that case, spend away.

I have an 07 superjet and I would highly recommend starting with the impeller like most people have replied. The stock one on 07 and older are JUNK. Once you take it apart and look at it you will notice that also. I ended up going with the Impros Hooker impeller and it is AWESOME. Like a lot of people said you need to decide what you want to ride and also how much you want to spend. I ended up putting the impeller on, freestyle intake grate from Wamiltons.com, Factory B Pipe, MSD Enhancer, etc... I can go on and on but it all comes down to how much money you want to spend. Another cheap add on, not so much for performance you will need is a bilge kit. If you have any other questions feel free to ask.

You'll be set for a while with that set up. Definitely a MSD Enhancer after that, and later on a TBM Pump Cone and Flywheel are both nice to have.
