OK peeps, we're meeting in Baytown, Thursday morning, right? How many vehicles do we have? Is there any further consolidation that can be done to save some fuel?

I think that's the plan. I'll have 2 skis in the back of my truck, don't know what everyone else is doing :sneaky:

What time Thursday morning and where?

I know its not that close, but we need to make some arrangements and preparations to make the Thurs AM trip. We get back in town Tues PM from IL. and I want to make sure there is little to do before we leave.

Understand that, I will probably be coming from west Houston so we need to adjust our departure schedule accordingly.

That said, I just wanted to make sure I know what time we are setting so I can leave an hour or so prior (which is why the 'where' also needs to be known).

Are talking San Jacinto Mall 06:00 hours?

Well, I will and I think Pdiddy will also. Plus I hope that will put us out of most traffic.

I was thinking about leaving around 5am from the meeting point. That way we will get to Lanier +/- 6pm. This is going to make an early morning for you west side guys. Unfortunately that is going to put us around Atlanta at rush hour. Their traffic makes I-10 at 5:30 look fast moving.

I am up for what is easiest for all, so you guys with the longer halls let me know.

I believe it Christian will be staying with his dad in Baytown the night before departure, so it will only be me with the early 4:00am-ish departure.

I'm planning on going. Right now I am driving solo.

My plan is to leave after work on Wednesday and drive till I get tired - so I'll be stopping about midnight or 1AM. Sleep, get up Thursday and be at the lake just after lunch.

anyone want to ride with me? I'm planning on leaving Lanier about 1PM Sunday afternoon.
I'm still going with this plan. Should avoid most traffic this way

6pm

probably will hit the road by 6:30 from BW8/westheimer area.

I'll catch a little evening traffic in Houston - but the best part is I will get through Louisiana construction zones overnight when there will definately be less traffic.

Well, it is getting closer. What time is everyone wanting to meet. I am still thinking 5am, at the Mobil station on 146, just off of I-10.

Who all are bringing ski totes?

I'm bringing mine. Ya'll are welcome to use it all weekend. no need for all of us to bring a tote. Mine is collapsible.

I'm back on my original plan of leaving Wednesday after work. I can call or email ya'll any construction zone issues since I will be ahead of you.

OK, got an email from Bronco yesterday, say's his crew is OUT :bs2: I'm going to call Skinnyman and offer the extra car space on our site to him now, but he won't be driving with us.

Prem1x, you in? Surely we can find you some coffee and donuts somewhere @ 5am :woot:
