hooking up a primer kit to powerbombs?

I forgot!
anyone use a primer kit on their powerbomb carbs? mine don't have the nipple to hook on on each carb and i didn't want to drill my 1000.00 carbs. Last year on my single powerbomb i just put the primer into the flamearrestor and it would squirt into the throat. This year i got some proK which are also too nice to just drill into. Any suggestions to use a primer on these bad boys.

well i hope so, last year i barely ever had to prime, even when the ski sat unused for a couple days. tap the green and go but on the other hand its nice to be able to give it a pump or two when out in the water and the ski won;t fire.

I wouldn't drill into an intake manifold no matter what; any leak there could cause a lean condition/free-rev. I would drill into the flame arrestor adapters if I were you, if that is feasible. -Kurt

Don't drill into the Prok's IMO, I'd be afraid of another piece of the mesh on the outside falling down the carb throat from being 'broken' in one area.

well this kinda sucks, i wanted a primer but not it it means drilling parts all out. i guess i'll just have to see how it works without the primer.

Best way to do it is just install a primer. Or if it is just for cold tarting, take off a flame arrestora nd cup the top of the carb......then crank the motor. That will pull fuel into the throat of the carb and you don' have to install a primer.

if youre going to drill, you should do it on the thick part of the adaptor just below the f/a.

definately dont want to do it below the throttle plate. theres way too much vacuum and itll draw gas through the primer and youll never be able to tune it.
