I went from a stock aluminum prop on my ski, to a 9/15 hooker and let me tell you! It was an extreme difference. It made the ski so much easier to pop out of the water, and the bottom end improvement was incredible. Even mid range felt pretty decent too. I still had the stock intake grate when I put on the prop, but it still hooked up amazingly. When I put on a top loader intake grate, that woke it up even more.
I've got no complaints, but it's also the only prop I've tried besides the stock aluminum one..
I'd say for the price, it's totally worth it. I purchased mine from Jetmaniac.

Also, this was on a 1995 Yamaha superjet 701 with a b pipe.

What about it? I went from bone stock machine to head bpipe solas mag and 9/15 over last winter and it blew my mind what my 701 was missing the whole time made my riding experience that much more enjoyable

Was talking to Dave at IMPROS a few weeks ago about his Hooker, we discussed different sizes and decided on a 10/16 for my setup. (84mm LPW with Team Scream prep'd 44's, BPipe, MSD, etc).

Prop showed up a few weeks ago, just got around to putting it in thursday night. Took out my SKAT Swirl (Freeride) 13-17 -? cutback. Well, had some carberation issues and ended up swapping to a set of 46 Novi's. So, part of my compairison is a bit skewed. May swap carbs back and see the true difference.

The ride. I am not going to say that there is a night and day difference. I will say this, this prop looks like you took a skat C75 and it had sex with a Solas concorde/dynafly and their offspring was named the Hooker. It did not have the lag that many have noticed with the SOLAS prop. The hookup off idle is very good and instant, must like the SKAT. It pulled well from bottom to top. I would say it gave me a little more top end than the skat. The skat would run out really quick on top. The biggest change I noticed was while doing rolls. I do not land on the plate but usually to the side, some my forward momentum would be enough that I did not lag any and keep moving, while others puts you in the water and you have to get going again. With the hooker, as soon as I hit the water and hit the gas it pulled immediately. No draging in the water or anything. Heck, I had to hold on to it. Doing some 1/4 hops (hop and turn to the left, land, hop and turn back right and only doing this by hitting the throttle) the ski kept leaping out of the water with no effort. This is only my 2nd time out so, still having to get back into the swing of things.

Overall, I will say this prop is well worth it if your running any prop other than a skat freeride. You would be seeing a huge improvement. If you do have a Skat Freeride now. It is a judgement call. If you have everything else done then go for it. I could be happy with my Skat or the IMPROS. Both are great props. If I had to pick. I would go with the Hooker.

Nice review bk. I'm gonna try a solas concorde 12/18 big hub. With my cpt 771 dual 46s type 4 with solas mag. C how that goes and maybe try a comparison to a 10/16 hooker
