Custom/Hybrid Hood Seal?

Im building a custom 300sx and Kawasaki has discontinued the hood seal. So where do I get one now and whats the best type of seal?

Lee, i am sorry, but it has been about 100 years since i have personally seen a 300SX. i cannot remember what type of hood seal they had. ( i am old, and cannot remember what i ate for breakfast)

if you could, send me a pic of your hull area where the seal is, and hopefully i can better help. our watcon hood seals work well on the octane, SJ's, blasters, and many aftermarket hulls. if your 300 needs a 650sx / 750sx type of seal, this will not work, but maybe you could cut down a 650sx one ( which we also have).

Well that is different than i thought.

how about a pic of the underside of your hood? if there is a channel, i wonder if we can run a watcon seal, on your hood.

If the hood is like Rn or a js you can use a car trunk seal. Auto parts stores usually stock them. They press right on the hood and seal really well.

I'm pretty sure the Watcon seal should work. We just put one on a superjet and looking at our Gen 2 Bobs I would think you could make em work. And they are awesome seals too!

OK, i "think" you can run a watcon seal, on your hood actually. clean up your hull, and you put the hood seal, in the channel on your actual hood. ( like an SXR).
