Ok guys, I'v done tons of searching and followed some good advice from previous posts but still have water intake issues. I have two issues,
1) when I sub, fail BR's (every time), or ski lays on its side for any amount of time I get water in the carbs and it of course runs like crap for a while till I run it through. I have a new factory hood seal, good latch, hood straps, glassed front and upper intake, opened both rear intakes, added "bridges" to smooth out the sides of the hood where it meets the hull and added a layer of foam strip to the bottom of the hood. Also have outer wears on my prok filters. I tried a stock air box but couldnt get it to run good enough. I even made a splash shield out of plastic tupperwear dish and mounted it between the carbs and the filters.
2) when doing a tail stand, I.E. after a 180 or sub the motor runs out of air super fast since it only gets air from the back of the hood. Im thinking about getting some of those frogzskin vents for the front of the hood. Maybe mount one 2" I.D. on either side of the front like where I glassed it shut.
