Custom/Hybrid Home-made Pole for BOB ideas

Hey guys, getting my BOB Gen 1 on Monday
Anyway, dont have the cash for an RRP pole so I was thinking of making a similar style pole.
My brother is a machinist and friend is a mill-right. Anyway what are your guys's ideas for a pole such as 2 long tubes like the RRP.
Anyone have dimensions? Tube length? Diameter, turn plate angle degree? Any tips would be great!

Thanks Owen

Meh. Save your time & money Owen and just get an OEM RN SJ pole for about $100 and shorten it to your liking. Run a pole limiter rope and you're good to go.

Well, actually It would cost very little for me to do it, only materials and my bro said he has what they need laying all over, and my friend could wip it up in a few days he said, once he knows what to build.
But I do see what your saying

Please don't make another rrp copy pole really.
I'm all for you making your own and with the assets you seem
To have should be no problem. Use your Imagination and look at what your trying to achieve rather then a look. Exp. A length, mount, chin pad, steering mount etc.... Don't be blinded by what's been done already

Get an AC pole they are fairly cheap and then cut it and reweld it...or save the money for an aftermarket pole, I am quite sure you can get an x-metal non adjustable for arround $ 300-400 ...

I can have a pole make with no problems, I've got access to some pretty good machining equipment and I can have my father TIG it up at work....but there is a reason I haven't. Just not worth it. Most homemade poles look ugly and usually pretty heavy. You've got a light ski coming, no need to weigh it down with an ugly, heavy pole.

Stock SJ is cheap light and will do what you want.

Then save your pennies for an X-Metal adjustable. (IMO)
