home depot cooling lines?

I bought some 3/8 id tubing for my water lines at home depot but want to make sure they dont melt. What is the temp of water that flows through the engine? 100% stock superjet

I just bought a SJ with the braided HD lines already on it. Previous owner put an ADA head (dual cooling) and b-pipe and these lines and only rode it for 10 minutes before I bought it. My first ride was Saturday where one line promptly blew off the pipe. I put it back on and tightened the clamp but as soon as the lines get warm they loosen up on the nipple. The end of the line that goes into the pipend is even melting a bit. Needless to say I have blowsion lines in the mail.

Check that the line and npt barbs are both 3/8. Mine fit so tight I have run them without clamps.

Why not run gates 3/8 coolant hose? I have bought 3/8 coolant hose from both advance auto and oreillys. Seems to hold up well on my skis. The gates part number is 28409

The real key to buying proper cooling line from home depot: 3/8 air hose for compressed air systems. It's what I've been using for years and it never lets me down. Great selection of colors too.

Seems to me like just about anything works okay for cooling line as long as it's not in direct contact with metal. Even when it is, the cylinders are only about 160 degrees and the chamber isn't really over 200. You can always zip tie a little piece of turf in places it touches.
