last time i rode the bilge came loose so i finally got a chance to re epoxy it down and i pulled out the bilge and found this nice hole. i am plannin on riding wednesday so there really isnt too much time to replace it. it still runs but i dont want to take the time to epoxy it down. so i am thinking of taking zip ties and zip tying it down to somehting to keep it from beating anything. i am just planning on doing this for one ride. should i just take it out or try to zip tie it?

Just replace the bilge... its worth the 20 bucks that you know it wont wriggle out of the zip ties or break even further and go into your coupler and break serious stuff. If you can get it firmly secured, I think you should take the whole think out and just stay away from underwater tricks.

if it is just tempoary, just silicone it to the bottom of the hull instead of expoxy. That way you can replace it when you get your RULE replacement. A reason why you wouldn't want to use silcone for a permanent setup is that split fuel in the engine compartment can eat away the silicone.
I have my SXR bilge pump just silconed in and it has held for 2 years.

I have a WestCoast bilge pump bracket that fits RULE and bolts onto the mid shaft/coupler bolts inside the hull. It is heavy duty and structurely sound and blue, just needs to be cleaned, similar to #M on www.atlanticjetsports.com. $15 and its yours.

Whoever said Attwoods sucks was wrong. I'm on my 3rd or 4th season on my current one. They run forever, work better, are more efficient, and are cheaper than Rules in my experience and I've been running pumps for a long long time.
Don't take the chance of that thing shorting out and killing your battery or catching fire, replace it.
