Hi I just wanna introduce myself I'm new to this site. My name is Matt and I ride my Superjet on Lake Michigan in Chicago, Illinois. I also work for Chicago Jet Ski Rentals over the summer, so I'm constantly around skis which I love. I've been using PWCToday a lot and guys have told me that I need to get on X-H2o.com to see what its all about. Longtime viewer, first time poster. Here's a link to my build thread if you wanna check it out. Haha I'm a history teacher so I figured I'd paint my ski to rep my favorite era. :unitedstates:

What's up Matt! Welcome, man. That square nose is looking sweet dude.

I also live in Chicago (Printers Row in the Loop) but my ski's stay up on Powers Lake in Wisconsin. I actually haven't ridden on the big lake off Chicago yet. How is it out there? We'll have to shred it up once warmer weather finds its way here.

Awesome to have more riders in the area.

I am from the area as well, and we ride in South Haven MI most of the time but when we go for day trips it is just over the border in Indiana in Gary. They just renovated the launch and parking lot there so it is pretty nice. We talk about trying to ride on Lake Mich here in Chicago but we have never tried it. How hard is it to launch in Chicago, and is there places to park or is it a pain in the a**?

winthrop is a free harbor

but your not right on the beach... you have to drive out harbor onto lake then head north or south a mile till you get to beach...

Thanks for the welcomes! I ride down at 31st street harbor. Its a brand new facility, lots of empty slips, it does get crowded on the weekends and it's $25 to launch unfortunately. We (Chicago Jet Ski Rentals) have a huge slip where we dock our skis. My boss loves the publicity for his business so anytime you guys wanna come out and dock your skis your welcome to just let me know. I'd love to get a few riders out there on the week or weekends this upcoming summer! In addition to skis, we got some cool toys too, like paddleboards, kayaks, the Flyboard and we are trying to land some of the new Seadoo Sparks for the 2014 season.

Hey Matt, we have a decent size group that rides out at Lake Street Beach in Gary, Cedar Lake, and Washington Park in Michigan City. Maybe you can meet us out there sometime or we can head up by you.

Sounds good! I've always heard great things about Lake Street Beach in Gary, I used to ride with a couple guys up in New Buffalo, they had a SN and a SXR. Nothing beats Lake Michigan, always random conditions for a good time....love it when its flat to rip, and big waves to jump.

lake street has a nice layout... only flaws are its in gary(yikes) and its $10 to launch(whether you have trailer or not)

but as soon as you launch your already on the beach so not many worries there

Lift it and with that short wheel base I'm sure it'd be a fun truck lol
