I just finished my ski and its running funny.. almost like its running out/short of gas.. after i fired it up with a dash of gas (no primer "T's to use my primer yet) it sounds great.. after about 10 blips of the throttle it starts idling faster, slow return to idle.. (no air leak)

the only thing i can think of is.. i changed to a stock 44 set up with reed spacer and stuffers, bumped the compression up to 180, "B" pipe
117.5 P
110 M
2.0 N/S
95 gr spring

is a 95 gram spring the shinny silver one or the dull silver one ?? ( Im hoping I forgot)

oh its a stock 701 engine in a superjet

thanks for any help

open your needles, you might be running lean. Also check the carbs to see if they are all the way on the manifold, Some manifold studs will hit the bottoms of the carbs shafts and not let them seat properly.

make sure the butterfly's on the carbs are completely shutting. Sometimes the linkage between the two might get sticky and one carb stays open a tiny bit, but it hardly takes anything to rev it way up out of water.

I was gonna say the same thing. I was thinking more goofy throttle cable, though.

im at.. 1 1/4 turns on the high
1 1/8 on the low.. thats sea leval settings but im at 3500 feet above sea level.. i should be rich..

i will check the butterfies.. thanks.. sooooooo is the 95 gr spring shinny or dull ? i just used my fingers to open and close the throttle.. cable is not the issue.. besides its new and 12 inches longer..

i forgot to say.. it boggs when it starts doing this.. but it runs great for 15 seconds first

If no air leaks and the engine feels like it wants to run on. You're prolly too lean, open the bottom screws a 1/2 turn ( its extreme but it's just to see if it's any different)

ohhhhhhhhh no... i put the shinny ones in...

do you think that would explain it ??

The pop-off won't affect your idle issue - that's all low speed jet/screw and any airleak issues that you might have.
