650/X-2 Help with x2- 650sx trim

i need help I know ive read someones thread on putting the trim from an x-2 on a 650sx i don t think i was dreaming lol. but any help would be great thanks

Yeah you can add the x2 trim on it. Some people call it C.A.T.S. and you can maybe search that and pull up a few threads.

Pretty simple with replacing the nozzle with the x2 nozzle and running a piece of pvc thru the hull to bring the cable inside the engine area and route it to your bars.

Cut open the tray area. Install a trim tube that lines up with the X2 nozzle trim. Lengthen (by an extension rod) the SX steering cable to reach the X2 steering (about 2" different), set up a way to adjust the trim. You might be able to use a SX steering cable to attach to the trim, but you would also need to install a brass fitting in the hull like the stock steering which may be hard to find. Otherwise you just leave the tube open and put 5200 in there to hold a cable like the throttle cable. Installing a fitting and using a real trim/steering cable would be the correct way to do it, but most people want easy and only need up trim so they just use a braded cable that only pulls. Remember braided/throttle cables only trim one direction.

Post in the "Want to buy section" on the main forum page. It's near the bottom of the list below parts for sale. Also try PWCtoday.com. It's set up the same way, so post in the wanted area there.
