help with locating pins in cases

my buddy said he had a locator pin for the bearings in the top half of the cases move up almost flush with the case.he cant figure out how to get it out.i said to heat it and he said that didnt work i havent seen it yet to get a better opnion just wondering if anyone else ever had this prob and how they fixed it

i guss you can drill from the other side, where mine was it was not feasible. i had to drill the pin out and then my guy made me a new step pin on the lathe

try doing it like a cylinder sleeve...put it in an oven at 200 degrees for a couple of hours, take it out and use a magnet to remove the pin. if it is stainless then try to grab what is sticking out with a hemostat.

So easy a kaveman could do it,sorry but you knew it was coming.:woot:
