Help with carb settings - 44s and 735 JM ported top end

I picked up a SN with a 760 motor and dual 44s for a good price. Ski has factory pipe, ada head and several other am parts.

Price was cheap because I have to defoam the hull, which is not a big issue since we just did it with our RN.

After I pulled the engine to work on the hull, we removed the top end to inspect it and found a crack in one of the cylinders.

I had never researched a 760 motor until buying this ski and didn't know that they don't have the same low end hit that 701s have. So I talked to Chris at JM and I'm thinking of getting his 735 ported top end kit instead of porting and resleving the 760 cylinder.

With that said, I'm looking for help with carb tuning suggestions for this motor because I don't want to buy new carbs. 735 - blue ported, ada head with 35 domes, 62t dual pulse cases, factory b pipe.

I would also say stick with 38’s

Or try
115 Main Jet -start at 1 1/2
120 Pilot Jet - start at 1 1/2
2.0 Needle/Seat
95g Spring

Thanks! I appreciate the starting point to try. I'm not very experienced with carb tuning, so this should be a good learning experience for me and more importantly, my son.

I really don't want to hassle with selling and buying carbs...I want to be on the water in two weeks.

Do you want to be on the water in two weeks with a plug and play tuned motor or struggling to get oversized, finicky carbs to act right? I've been there and done that. OEM 38 setups are cheap and will save you a lot of frustration during lake time.

With factory pipe, dual 44's, and aftermarket flame arrestor try:

24psi pop off
120 Pilot
120 Main

Also pick up some 115 Pilots and some 125 Mains. Best deal on jets is iboats.com (sign up for emails and get 5% off coupon too)
