help with backflip (video)

seems as you did not let the ski set down then up the wake. Almost like you skipped across using only the top part of the wake. I do not BF but you should allow the ski to get much lower in the water effectively raising the nose of the ski. Commitment is a must with a BF. You can not just lean back. Once you are nosing out pull hard with your arms and then extend the legs as your rotating as the pump releases from the water. Watch lots of videos on the rider position and mechanics. Great job on attempting. The hardest parts done.

Get closer to the boat off a single boat wake try to pre hop into the pocket pull back, keep your head back .. you didn't setup good at all . I still can't do it off a single boat wake but my SN is slow.

so you think with a pre hop and better setup I would get more air as well? these waves are from a 24' sea ray making a 90 degree turn, they are bigger than anything else I have seen on this lake

Unless you have crazy brap under the hood you have to do everything correct to get around off a single boat wake... Hit close to the boat, that lip & face of the wave is what helps the ski to rotate. Also you have to pre hop into the sweet spot to make it come around... It takes 100 % I'm going to flip, kinda looks like you weren't 100%... Kick in so your not coming out, Pre Hop, most import you have to look back.. If you dont move your head & look back its going to make it a lot harder..

Do you have trim?

Squat before take off, and really throw your head back once you're in the air. That's what does it for me.

yea, I have trim. thats whats getting it to start coming over on me I think.

and as far as having serious brap under the hood, Its 254lbs before gas, jetmaniac 718 with a b pipe. stock ignition and a mag pump.

Mine is just a 701 single carb, b pipe and small mods weights 310 no gas, I can get 3/4 sometimes off a single boat wake as long as I'm really close to the boat.. no trim, hull is -3.... Or hit a v-wake and hang on.

I guess it comes down to seat time and skillz
I failed more times then i can count lol, off v-wakes it took me like 10 attempts to even know whats going on. Then i did 6 in a row and landed every single one, watch my vids i pre hop into the pocket on the v-wake. Now if i can only land a barrel roll
