Help: SJ not starting???

I was wondering if once again you guys could help. I put my 95 SN back together yesterday and it will not start. Electrical box and stator were redone last fall by John at Jetski Solutions. Battery is fully charged. Tried two different batteries and both work in my SXR. When I hit the start button, I can hear the Electrical box click, but that is it. What should I look at. I was thinking maybe the starter, but wanted to check with you guys to see if you had any other ideas before I tore the engine back out again.

Thanks,
Jon

I can spin the engine by hand. Definitely not locked up. When I tried to jump the starter relay, it just throws a spark. I checked the starter cables and they are tight.

mine (SN) had a similar problem a while ago, we checked the switch, the electrics, and it turned out to be a bad connector. There were 3 before going into the elctrical box, and one had corrosion in it, so we cleaned it out and re-connected and it worked. It was a switch that connected the wires for the start/stop, and we did a bypass to check by switching the two. i can take a pic if you want since all this sounds jumbled.

well....if it worked before you took that out and john worked on them then i would think that the problem should be related. checked the connector really good. do you have a multimeter. check across the connectors to be sure that you are reading 0 ohms. and that the 12 volts is making a good connection to the box. are you sure your starter is not locked up or something?

pull the flywheel cover and make sure the bendix isnt fragged and locking the starter.

if that looks ok, and you can pull it out by hand and spin it, pull the starter back out of the engine and watch it spin still hooked to the battery cables and handlebar stop switch.

You are correct. The starter is locked up. All cables are new and I did run them a couple times last fall before tearing the engine apart.
