HELP no spark on my 701

Hey guys well about a week ago i was riding my ski ran great was riding for about 40 minutes, i shut it off and went onshore to rest. about 20 minutes later i go out to start my ski and nothing. jus turns over thats it. well i narrowed to spark and no its not the white and black wire. i tested the stator and it checked out on the meter. didnt really understand how to check the CDI so i havent done that. Also either my meter or coil is messed up when i go to test the coil orange and black wire it comes up like 14.6 when its suppose to be somewhere in the .78 area. and yes i have it set on ohms. whats do you guys think

Thanks
Jim

14.6 seems awful high, the primary on a coil shoul dbe almost nothing. As another check, see if there is any continuity between the primary wires and secondary, you may have a failed coil. It does happen.

Also, measure to see if there is 12volts going to the coil when turning the ski over. If you have 12 volts going to the coil and nothing out, that's pretty conclusive.

Do you have another to swap it with?

*****Never attempt to measure the output Voltage of a coil!!!!! Potential Voltages are well beyond what standard meters are capable of measuring and meter failure and personal injury is imminent!!!******

I'm no expert....but I just went thru a similar issue. Mine would do the same thing as yours but would eventually fire again after sitting for quite a while.
My coil and stator passed the resistance checks. So I started swapping parts.
I put in an enhancer (replaced CDI) and it was fixed.
Here's the thread. Hope it helps.
