Blaster Help! No bendix spring

I want to get my blaster on the water for the next couple days, but I don't have a bendix spring for my flywheel cover. Any make shift ideas for getting it on the water? Another bendix spring is 2 weeks away and I want to ride it the next 2 days

It's roughly 3/4" and stiff! All it does it holds the bendix seated, I'm sure you could get away with a make shift fix for now. Just my opinion, obviously in a ideal world you'd have the spring, washers to run the correct way.

Mine fell out while reassembling without me noticing, I ran it all weekend with no issues. Which gives credibility to some DIY home brew setup for the interim. Shouldn't matter much
