HELP!! My SJ In NJ needs to get to the Daytona Freeride!!!

Well saying that this call for help is last minute is quite the understatement... but here goes anyway...

Due to some technical difficulties, the trailer hitch we ordered for our tow vehicle has not arrived, and thus, unless it arrives tomorrow, we are basically SOL on getting ski's to Daytona.

My partner in crime on this trip has decided to bail, but I think me and my girl are going to make the trip regardless, so I was curious, is there anyone so kind out there that has room for my superjet to go from South Jersey to Daytona and back???

PM, e-mail funky4000@aol.com or call Cole at 267-688-9057 anytime tonight/tomorrow.

Wish me luck

any slow welding shop, machine shop, metal fabrication...they are really quite simple what kind of car you got that you cant find one on the shelf somewhere for?

if you were in mi i'd whip ya up one in a couple of hours...but you'd pay for it

I looked into uhaul, i could only find them selling hitches. Part of the problem is that the hitch we were gettin was going on my buddy's truck. He's bailing, so now we are relegated to my girls car which is a little toyota, not sure how she feels about throwin a welded ass hitch on there.

call your auto parts store now!!! i'm sure they'd either have one or can probally get one on thier morning truck if ordered in time..knowing from expierence you got approx. 39 minutes before cutoff...toyotas can pull a ski just fine

Yeah, I'm SURE that at least ONE of the hitch or trailer shops in the area can get one on their morning truck. I'll be installed you'd be $300 or under.
Just DO IT!!!!!

Depending how badly you want to be at Daytona there are a few things you could do.

Remove the rear bumper and pull the outer (plastic) skin off the metal support.
You might be able to mount a ball directly to the support by drilling a hole or get a plate welded to it.
Not perfect but would get the light ski and trailer down to Daytona.

After you get back home just undo the mods to the support and cover it back up with the plastic bumper. No one has to know.

if its a 5 door i bet you could get your ski so fit with the back seats down and the hatch bungeed down.

if its a 4 door...........kinda screwed unless you put it on the roof!

if its a 2 door hatch just break the back window and slide it in.

if its this
