Well my season lasted about 6 weeks(see carnage thread). i have a fresh 760, and i'm extremly eager to ride. so my season is going to start this winter :Banane01:

I need help picking up a nice drysuit. I would like something thats not going to frezz me we i ride in the mnt's in january. is this possable? Not shure what are the key features in a drysuit. thickness, material, wrist/ankle fittings. do i need one with the boots attached? gloves? how well they seal. what are some good brands, what stores carry them... and anything ealts i should know.

also if you have a drysuit, how well do they hold up in flatwater freestyle? what do you like/dont liek about yours. and if you could by another one which would you by?

aslo if any wetsuits what will keep me warm in jan post the info

Thank for your time

I like my Oneill, it just takes another person to zip you in, plenty warm in the ocean.

I bought the Palm Sidewinder from this guy in San Jose. If you don't get a Gortex lined suit at 2 to 3 times the price, it's a matter of wearing warm layers of wicking clothing underneath. The quality of this suit appears to be great and the price can't be beat for a drysuit. Prices are going up $100 on the Palm suits after the holidays. I would definately get the booties attached as it is two less points for seals to fail.
I spent months reading and searching. This was my choice for surf riding. I hope your decision is easier than mine was.:banghead:

The drysuit you need isn't made anymore (go figure).
If you can find a used Slippery sub-zero or Mobby's you'll be all set.
Those were the kind with a front zipper and booties attached to the suit.
I've had mine for over 6 years now, and can't think of using ANYTHING else.

Flat water freestyle works great in it.
Sometimes I will get a little water around the neck of my sweatshirt when I'm working REALLY hard to get wet.

For one of my jobs we have to wear wetsuits. We are in the water through November here in MI working pulling out docks and boat lifts. We spend about ten hours each day we work in the water so we need somethin warm. We use Bare drysuits. IDK how much they cost or anything or dont have anything to compare them to but they are warm and work great!

I also like mine. does take another person to zip it for you, or an extra 5 min. of scewing around to do it yourself. it is a great priced drysuit that keeps me very dry even during flatwater freestyle. and being a 3/4 barrel roller i hit the water pretty hard. might occasonally get a little down the neck.

if i had to buy a new one i would probley get one with the feet just for added comfort. i wear shoes so that helps a little, but the booties would be nice.

grif, a buddy of mine dives at the lake norman quarry and gets down to water of like 45 or 50 degress. he just a super htick wetsuit and its fine for him. i thinks its like 10/5 with a 5 mm jacket and gloves and booties. He got it all for $100 at a dive shop in moorisville.
