I'm sorry if I'm a little confused - I promise I've tried to search for the answer but I keep getting conflicting info. I am trying to get my mostly stock 02 with electrical issues running again. After nursing an old corroded ebox back to life every year for what seems like about 10 years, I think I need to replace it, since I get nothing unless I jump the solenoid (yes I've tried a different solenoid). I am looking to get one off ebay but I see 6m6, 61x and 62t boxes and I don't know which one I can use. I don't know whether my stator is a 61x or a 62t, since the label on the case says 64u. I wish I had the cash for a new one, but I don't and the clock is ticking on getting this stupid ski running. Again, I'm sorry if I have missed an obvious answer somewhere.

Thinking that trying to keep this ski running every year is not worth it anymore and should probably sell it....

Here's pics of what an ebox should look like: never been used as an aquarium...http://x-h2o.com/index.php?threads/superjet-electric-box.175347/

However, your "corroded" box may not be your main problem. since even a diff. solenoid wont respond to the start command. That, often times is mung/ corrosion in the short pigtail plug- or the switch on the handle bar. To test: unplug the short pigtail that exits the ebox. A brown and a red wire runs to the Sumitumo plug. Test with meter: the red should always be hot (B+), the brown wire connects to the start solenoid. Take a paperclip or similar and short across the red and the brown pins. Solenoid should click- starter should crank.

Keep you eyes out for an old stater and ebox setup on craigslist I managed to snag one for $80 I had to replace the solenoid but was simple and workes great. Been running it for the last 3 years with no problem
