Sorry it took so long. Hope these pics help give you guys some ideas for converting your trailers. I am really happy with the way the trailer turned out. I plan on putting posts on the front for the front of the ski's to lock into. Right now the tie downs on the front are working just fine though.

It really wasn't that hard to do the conversion. I did it over the weekend and got all the parts from West Marine. Luckily I work at West Marine so I got some great discounts on the parts and it cost me very little to do the conversion.

If you all would like to know the exact dimensions of the trailer (i.e. overall width, distance between bunks, etc.) just let me know and I will post them.

Good luck with everyones conversions. This trailer beats the hell out of any big couch double trailer out there.:arms:

very clean, may be a tad wider than mine though,As sanford asked whats the width between the frame rails where the wheels are located, how are you going to do your front tie down bars also

The exact width between the outside edge of the frame rails is 44in. As you can see I have the outer bunks mounted directly on the outside frame rails. The inside blaster bunk is mounted closer to the center than the inside superjet bunk is.

Tounge weight is perfect. It's heavy enough for me to climb up on the ski without the tounge lifting yet light enough for me to pick up the tounge with one hand. With the jack on the front its really easy to move the trailer around. I am able to push the trailer up hill on my driveway into my garage by myself.

As far as the front nose bars go, I'm not sure whether I am going to put them on yet. The tie downs work great. If I do put them on I will probably do what Ollierastaban did with his. I think he's got pics of his somewhere on the site. I know he's got some old pics of it on "the other site". Do a search over there for "double standup trailer".

Hope all of this helps.

thanks for all your help on this project fly,tie straps will suffice im sure,i just worry about a mild fender bender or something like that ,havingg one of my skis break loose,if they are tied front and back, its probally as strong as front metal bars and ties maybe?

I have mine just tied. I run one more line that runs from the front cross member of the trailer up to the bow eye. That gives a better angle to keep the ski from going forward shoulfd you need to get on the brakes hard.

One think to watch for, the SJ may tend to shift sideways a bit. I've got a nice scratch from the skis hitting each other :-( . Since then I added another line out to the side. Now it takes me a half hour to unload..
