Helmet fit?

I'm looking to buy a helmet for freestyle. I've searched the topic and decided to find a full face bike helmet. My problem is the sizing. My head measures 27.75 inches, which falls right between medium and large. Since the helmet will get wet I don't know which way to go. Is it better to have the helmet tight or a little loose? Any and all opinions please?

Yep! I bought mine so tight in the store, that I thought it was almost uncomfortable, but the bike shop guy said that it should actually squeeze your cheeks in a little when you try and move it. When it's wet it's prefect maybe a slight bit too big.

just add some foam to make it fit better...

this isn't NASCAR and we are not going 200mph.

a simple bike helmet that's loose fit will be perfect.

you could also buy it a little to small and shape the foam to fit your head.

I prefer snug. I've had to borrow larger helmets before and I hate coming out of a stab and having to pull my helmet back down to see. Or getting choked by the chin strap when the helmet goes back.

I agree... mine is just a little lose... and i like it that way... too snug gives me a headache... i like a little movement... so long as it doesn't move too much to interfere with your ability to see... :biggrin:

From the sound of it you really don’t need to wear a helmet for any reason. LOL

lol.... i actually never ride w/o it... I just hate tight hats, helmets... don't like that feeling
