OK on the hull
melted my gas cover on my SN SJ
search for sticker removal- most folks like the 3M wheels
I did it the hard way- acetone, goo gone, heat gun and lots of fingernail action

someone please quickly answer this question, numbers came off pretty easy with heat and didnt have any goo other than the outer perimeter of the number.I was trying to scrap it offf with a scraper and the scraper is putting gray like chalk on my hood and it will not come off realy with wd-40.Whats the other best way to get that little goo off?

Be careful if they are on your hood, or you may be repainting if you are careless with the heat.

Also depends on the quality of the vinyl/adhesive. My B1 came with those crappy numbers from Hardline Products. I just let the sun beat on one side, pulled them off, spun the hull around so the sun could hit the other side, and pulled them off clean too.

paint thinner and a rag works good for me. lacquer not mineral spirits.
i would say the Grey stuff is just glue residue, be careful with the scraper a small
cut in the paint can be a big problem later.

I have used gasoline before... I know not the best idea but hey what happens if you spill gas on your ski anyways? Then again this was just on the stock gel coat.

Make sure you wash it real good and give the ski time to dry (gas evaporate) before put on teh new stickers. A friend of mine would always wipe everything down with alchol before putting on stickers.

Ok with the gray stuff that was rubbing on from my scraper is there anyway to get that off the ski?

rub it out? maybe with some wax or light polishing compound. sounds like you just rubbed some if the scraper off and now its stuck. idk man id never do any type of scraping on my hull.

Ok so gas took the gray stuff out and took the glue off. That ******** works amazing'll.Since that goo came off so easy and those registration numbers had been on there forever im thinking tommarrow just heat gun the stock graphics off and use gas to remove the abhesive. What are your thinks about this?Do you think it'll take all the goo off?

I wouldn't touch the stock graphics!

They will be a b!th to get off and you will most likely damage your paint. Don't remove them until you are ready to paint the hull. I know, I know... you have tinkeritis... but don't do it! You will regret it. It is a much bigger job than the registration stickers.

They'll come off with GENTLE heating with the heat gun and use Goof Off for the residue but yes, gas will work.
