You barely get 45mpg in the smallest car in the USA period. Lifted pickups probably burn a gallon just getting out of the driveway.

Now get yourself a hitch and an aluminum trailer so loading and unloading isn't such a PITA. Your mpgs will still be better then many people in the US.

Except the guys that are lucky enough to live right on a lake...those guys just suck!

My home away from home.
Not sure on the van, but I think it's a VW. The TDI emblem on the back looks VW to me. Not to get off topic at all, but I wish we had a lot more diesels here in the states. They are all over the place in Europe and have great powa and fuel efficiency. I'm sure there's some greedy money making bastard here that's got it set up this way for a (personal) reason. Too bad.. Love the van by the way! And the freak!

diesel emissions regs are a bitch in the US. Expensive to make the vehicle and won't do as well performance wise as vehicles in Europe.

I averaged mid to high 40's in my 2011 Jetta wagon TDi but highway. I wish they brought the 1.6L people have gotten close to 70mpg thats insane.

That's in imperial mpg, in US gallons it would 37.5mpg. Which is still rare for a North American car

i meant us. imperial would be around 50 mpg.
this is only highway of course.

and of course i have a hitch. and an aluminum trailer.
this is just for the longer trips.

christian what did you mean it wasnt nice for the freak. everything is better than being on a trailer.

BTW its a VW caddy 1,9tdi -07
