I ran a full season on a single can of appliance epoxy that you can buy at walmart for $5. Everything in my engine bay turns a shade of grey in no time from various exhaust leaks, fuel spills, etc. However, I washed it a couple times and a little degreaser and a rag will clean up the engine bay like brand new. I'd say on average I've been riding the ski 2-3 times a week since april.

Here's a quick pic of what my engine bay looked like after painting... It looks like this if I wash it too so I can't complain. Very tough.

How did you apply? I think this is the route I wanna go. They have some great colors on uscomposites. I think the Grey would be great, its not too dark and it wouldnt look nasty all the time.

i just mixed some dye in the resin while i was re-inforcing my hull. it looks real good in person. the pics arent the best shots.
another benefit of using the dye is ease of repair if you crack your hull or hood lip and have to fix it, you dont have to sand down all the paint first.
