Just wait until tomorrow night if you want to talk on the phone. I'm moving into my apartment at college tomorrow so everything will be hectic

do you have any pictures up close of the process? Im really not good at fiberglass work, there a fiberglass shop about 100 miles away who quoted me roughly $200 to finish the pump. Im not sure if I need to sand down more or if my pump angle will be right

Not really but I can describe what to do. If you can wait until tomorrow I can help more. I have been packing since 530 this morning and just got done at 830.

Danky, have you looked at wave hogs pump install thread, had some close up shots of the shoe area work, also JD aka specialfx might be able to chime in, make sure your 6304 bearing that was pressed into the yami housing is straight and that the mid shaft housing is flush on the bulkhead wall. It may have a gap or the bulkhead may be slightly out if true and buckled. You need to get the shaft straight first so the pump can follow suit.

Is the shaft still crooked while in the bearing housing with the engine out of the hull? Does the shaft have loose slop in the bearing like it may not fit snug inside the mid shaft bearing possibly causing off center? You want the pump shoe flush across the bottom of the hull, glass work takes time and skill but its just best to grind slow and check and recheck until it lines up, dont get hung up just walk away for a breather and re approach it with a clear head, I've traced my pump shoe and took 50 measurements and still cringe when I cut into a worn and torn 20 year old ski. If you go too far you will feel and see it, just build it back up slowly and re try

The driveshaft lines up straight until I feel the splines into the pump, then it stills 'off center' so right away my first thought is that i need to shift the pump to keep the shaft centered. I changed my plans with the midshaft and ending up just buying one from RHAAS.

I know I hacked the hull up pretty well. I cut, then cut haha and cut more... my measurements weren't perfect, and this is my first time doing fiberglass work by myself. (My foot holds my mechanic helped me do it, but since then I moved)

Don't be intimidated by glass. I never worked with it before mine either and I ended up doing a wide tray and making a new hood liner. It's very simple. If your not sure on the process just watch some YouTube videos. There are some really good videos that explain how to lay glass.

Make sure the shoe is centered in the intake tunnel and that the pump is centered in the pump box. Use the tip of the pump cone as a reference point and measure from side to side. Also, using the pump cone for rerference, measure the height from the surface of the pump box up to the pump cone tip.......it needs to be at 3-5/8". This will set the correct pump angle.

Guys, special... I think I got it centered what do you think. I measured the hull to where shoe starts, both at 4-1/8. Then measure the pump cone side to side, bot at 4-1/3" from L to R. The only thing is I'm at 3-1/2" height on the cone. Can I just shim this?

Only thing is the drivshadt isn't perfectly centered. Close. Not perfect, big deal?

Also the intake grate lines up good and I don't think the pump sits too low. Right?
