Super Jet Hard cranking

Hey guys I just put an ada head on my ski and it has 37 cc domes. It seems as if it is having a hard time cranking over. No problems starting, it starts instantly, just cranks slow, and yes my battery is fully charged. I an wondering if it is a shoddy ground connection.

Possibilities:

• Bad ground to starter
• Bad positive from battery to relay
• Bad positive from relay to starter
• Starter going bad
• Bad battery
• Crank going bad

Once it starts cranking it speeds up. I think it may be a bad ground because when I put the new connector on the wire had a black coating on it from what looks like corrosion.
