Harbor Freight Double Trailer review

Still Fat....
Where did you bought the storage bin and the jug rack ?

bradshaw welding had the rack
and bought the storage box from summit racing, i forgot the brand off hand but they sold 2 different size boxes, shouldda got the bigger sized one though
however any type of box will fit
i just drilled drain holes in, and also bolted it together

personally i should have spent more $$ and bought an aluminum trailer since i am in salt water.

i went with larger tires too from west marine.

here's an idea i have had too
i was going to get a fuel cell and mount that on the trailer, then use an electric fuel pump i could operate by batter to fuel the skis, or jug.
options and ideas are endless

exact same one i bought used, it went from cali to michigan to dallas with not one single issue.
Well is anyone going to modify this to turn into a double ski trailer? with maybe some extras up front?

I'd be happy to follow that thread.... And it could help give me some ideas...

Can anyone tell me how tall the double is with a SJ on it. I have makeshift shed under my deck with limited clearance and want to verify the trailer will fit with the ski on it.
Thanks

mine was converted already. they just got some heavy angle iron and cut four pieces to mount each bunk to, they kinda float which is a pain sometimes. then they bought the up posts and mounted them off of the front for the pins to go through.

I have the single harbor freight ski trailer and have been using it since 1998. It has held up fine...have trailer a blaster I, a superjet, and now my SX-R on it with no problems.

ahhhh some work in progress i see
it was fun building that trailer when i did it

if you are starting off, get some rear guides and mount the trailer lights up there so they are out of the water come ramp time

I don't think anyone said it couldn't be done. I thought you were going to push the waverunner back? Then the x- ski could go up on top of those rails.
I think you are going to have a lot of tongue weight where you have it, although thats not a problem if your tow vehicle can handle it.

I was just mocking it up, figuring out what pieces I need to cut on the chop saw at lunch today.
The WR500 will move back about 18 inches.
Tongue weight is not much of an issue. I have a big, old Dodge conversion van, 3/4 ton, w/360 V8.
My MasterCraft has way more tongue weight than the ski trailer will ever have.
Will post pic when further along
