Just got done, pinky is back!!!

Would like to say thank you to Pat (Moto360) for everything. From letting me go up to his place when he wasn't even there to letting me eat dinner with him and his wife countless times. I could not have done it without you. Also, Handy, a.k.a. Steve (skibums4life), I'd still be on my 440 if it wasn't for you, thanks for everything.

Instead of a build-up, I think I'm going to do the opposite. I know I've got it done but I'll show and talk about the work in the reverse order. If you have any questions or comments don't be shy.

Is this better than Pinky I?

I like the new paint scheme better but I thought the bottom of the other one looked cool. Adds extra suprise when you pull a backflip to see a design on the bottom.

Couldn't help but notice that the last pic looks like the hood is two penis's...lol.

Thanks man. Is this what you were talking about?

I heard people say the hood looks like two boobs but never a penis. I'd like to think they look like boobs personally, lol.

im diggin the new paint, is it a new hull or did you just make a bond rail?

Thanks, was worried how it was going to come out but somehow I pulled it off. Yup this is a top-deck conversion. The only major thing I used off of my xft hull was the firewall and scupper tunnels. It was a very sad time when I had to butcher up my baby, but I'm hoping it was all worth it.

Is that pole short enough?

Ok the pole was originally made for my xft hull that practically rode through the water at a 45 degree angle at low speeds. So in order to help get the nose down I had to take some drastic measures. I'm 6'1 and the pole felt completely normal when riding, the shorter riders that rode it said it could of been a little longer for them however. Right now I could throw on a -2 xft pole but I would rather try it out and see how I like it.

:werd: How short is it?

I believe the pole is about a -8 or so. I've never really measured it but might need to figure out something else after I water test this ski tomorrow. The taller you are the more normal it feels to have a shorter pole. Skibums4life is 6'4 and has a umi pole just a hair longer than mine with a stock length hull and I feel right at home with it. Hopefully it all works out so I don't have to spend any more money.

1 vote for OTHER.

Is it the pink or the spider webs?

Why did you cut up your XFT hull?

I had completely gone through it twice to repair it and try to get it to hold up to my riding but it never did. The original plan this winter was to take my xft bottom deck and put on a new topdeck. After getting the old top off I started just peeling off all of my reinforcement. Even with all the prep work and sanding I had done the new carbon or biaxial would not stick to the carbon kevlar. It was a fun ski to backflip but that was all I could do with it. I couldn't chase down a boat or slash a wave. I'm sure if the rear was back to original it would of been fun but I just felt like I would be going backwards if I repaired it all again for the third time.

Both of my ski's have around -4"-6" off the poles. However, my 750 has footholds at the rear of the tray and my SJ has holds 2-3" further forward. Having the footholds further back really wears me out a lot faster. Those XFT holds are way back there though. Hope it works out for you though.

I like the new pinky but would cahnge the color of the pole to yellow or pink to match the black does not flow well now that the yellow is in there...
