Quick question: which end of the steering cable is easier to pull through?

I always undo the handlepole turnplate end. Never tried the other end, it'd be much more work I think.

This is all on SJs BTW.

Ok, thanks I think thats what I'll do. If you could pull it all the way from the rear then you wouldn't need to pull it through the boot. I can't tell by looking if the rear end can be pulled through the hull at all though. Actually I don't even know why I don't just cut the boot off since I'll probably not be using it.

Looks like I'll be finding out soon enough. The cable is near worn through..

Anyway had I known how the boot came appart I wouldnt have wasted so much time thinking about it..
