handling issue

Ive had my superjet for 2 years now and it has a worx intake grate, riva groovy ride plate and hooker impeller. The thing hooks up and corners great but I am starting to do more tricks and the groovy ride plate doesnt slide out easy. I tried a stock plate but didn't like it, it felt to loose and much less stable. Is there an plate that slides for freestyle yet is stable and predictable (was thinking worx dominator exteded) or do I just need to get used to the stock and get better at sliding? O I am 165 pounds.

i have the dominator and it's ok, stock sucks, its too loose in my opinion. i would imagine many people will give you good references in the next few hours to what plates are best...

Anytime you do a handling mod I would recommend you ride with that mod for at least 4-5 rides. If you still don't like it then, look at something else. Stock is good, stock D-cut is even better. Just put some more time in on it.

I've never had any trouble sliding with a groovy ride plate. Might be the intake grate making it harder to slide. Try letting off the gas completely to break the suction, and then give it another quick blast as you turn the bars and lean forward.

I can slide my sky when I want but I really want to be able to nose stab and eventually barrel roll which the groovy may not be the best for. I have been doing alot of reading on jet dynamics short plate and it seems to be somewhere in the middle of stability and slide. Any thoughts?

A longer flat plate without any holes will allow you to slide like crazy but they're not as preferred for freestyle use.

Also the older pre 08 hulls work better for sliding and freeride IMO.
