Handlepole springs

Yes, another stupid question from me. Get used to it especially once winter arrives.

For all you RoundNose guys/gals that either:

A) Tighten your pole bolts to help 'keep it up'

B) Run aftermarket poles

Do you still use a spring?

A) No.

B) No.

Both with stock and aftermarket pole, I run dual bolts, red loctite, and a BFW.

Stock pole, blowsion spring.
A)yes
B)no
although when I first did it my pole was nice and tight and would stay wherever I put it, after a couple months like that it doesnt stay as tight anymore

Tight poles are nice. No aftermarket pole here. I run a stock pole tightened down the the spring from blowsion. I find that without the spring you really have to tighten it down to keep the pole from falling and when you do tighten it down this tight then it makes it a pain in the back to constantly fight to keep the pole up. Having the spring in there evens out the up and down tension a little more.

Dual bolts on a stock RN pole.
Ever since I cut off the collar from the pole bushings and replaced them with stainless washers the pole has never loosened once.

no and no. I am using a stock spring that I modded to take the weight off of the handle pole. once i broke my last umi spring i decided to try bending the stock spring to see if I could get it to work like a umi. so far it has worked really well. not too sure about the longevity yet only been using it for 2 months.
