Surfriding Handlepole Bracket?

I have a 2008 superjet, about to get into reinforcing everything. I was wondering if it's really that important to reinforce the handlepole bracket for riding in the surf. I've searched for the past hour and haven't found anyone who has cracked a handlepole bracket. It would save me loads of trouble if I could just put on the blowsion handlepole reinforcing bracket. I am hoping to start learning rolls and stabs this year.

Many have cracked oem brackets and I ripped one out of my RN hull (no limiting rope).

You should be good with a backing plate and limiting rope.

Yeah I see ppl breaking the actual bracket and pole. But I'm talking about the hull itself the bracket is bolted too. I see some ppl put 4lb foam, shape it smooth and build up a bridge to strengthen that area. I really don't think I need to reinforce it, I'm going to skip itand ordered a blowsion handlepole reinforcing plate. Ill just reinforce the whole length to the nose. I do have a limiting rope, just got it

I have a 2010 SJ and just reinforced this winter. I ride surf and when I pulled my handlepole, there were spider cracks all around the bolt holes for the bracket. I layed down some 1208 biax under the bracket area and am going to make my own aluminum backing plate. Making a new limiting rope too. I destroyed the Blowsion one I have.

That's what I wanted to hear, thanks. Next year ill do it when I get whole new steering and pole set up. I have shmittys bracket for quick throw on 08 pole and its frozen in there. I know it will break when I try to remove it and I already locked up the pump in the rear. I already have enough on my table. I will hope for the best with the blowsion bracket. Thanks
