I just re-turfed my SXR and love the result-heres wut I used

Hydro-turf oem Polaris B-stock=25.00 per sheet or 40.00 for 2.
Go to Lowes to the floor covering section-there is a 4pk of 1" thick foam rubber padding that interlocks together. The stuff is 16.00 for 4 sheets in a pk. Open the pack and take a sheet out-use a razor blade to cut the inter-lock tabs off and cust u out a foam tray pad-sand both sides of it using 40 grit sand paper-glue it in using Dap Weldwood Contact Cement-READ the directions on the can-beat the hell out of the pad w/a hammer once glued in-now cut your hydro turf and glue it to the pad. Now u r good 2 go-soft yet strong and should last a long time.

I have a Jettrim pad on my Superjet also. I know what you mean about being killer on the knees. I have permanent scars on both of my knees from my very first time out. After that I just went out and bought neoprene knee braces to use as knee pads. They work great but I will be hydroturfing before too long

I like the look and performance of AP stitched mats the best. Then again I've never have a bloody knee problem. I just wish they had mats to fit my rickter footholds.

Helllllooooooooo ,it's a standup guys what the hell are you doing kneeling so much :dunno: :dunno:

There's really no need to kneel down while riding EVER .
When I fall off and get back on I use the Sea doo HX method .

Lean your ski all the way on it's left side and put your right foot in the tray and nail the gas and slam the bars to the right and you always come out standing up already .F ing rookies :haha:

get some HT with the 25 mm padding and you can kneel down all you want with no knee burn :dunno: :dunno:

I decided to try the stuff at Lowe's cuz it was cheap, its as much rubbery as it is foam-therefore dont hold water, and soaks up a ton of impact on my old ass on hard landings-my knees, ankles, and back love it. The pkg u r lookin for is 2'x2' and grey in color-matches the grey HT real well and so far sticks great w/glue.

HT will rub you raw also.... I'm sure not as bad as stitched mat stuff though but still happens if you flounder around in the tray with a knee up trying to get situated before takeoff. When I was learning I had the same problem, so I ended up using a makeshift kneepad. Doesn't happen anymore because I can get up by putting my foot directly in the tray as I'm taking off and stand right up.

You guys need to learn standing starts or standup up sooner. If the ski is bouncing around enough to wear your knees out, you're spending too much time on them. :sneaky: In my honest and humble opinion
