Group K SXR Sleeper Kit w/ Wetpipe

Has anyone tried their sleeper kit with the wet pipe ?? Harry Told me it works awesome and I have a tendency to believe him. It runs great now with just the pipe and timing advance but I'm considering my next moves ?? ........

A buddy of mine had the wet pipe and sleeper kit and had nothing but troubles trying to get it dialed in. Could only get all top end or all bottom end. No middle ground. i would not suggest it.

Exactly what I am dealing with, with my SXI sleeper with FPP in an x2.

It makes crazy top end power, but you have to hop the pump out of the water to get it to rev out.... Down below its total mush has has nothing. I have tried 3 carbs, and now I am going to try to play with the jetting on the 46 that on there. hopefully its not the porting that is causing this hell to tune ******** I have been dealing with........ If I dunk the trailer it will only pull 3800 rpm when pump is loaded?!?

If anyone else has run a groupk sleeper 750 with a FP, single 46..... and got it to run right. PLEASE POST up what carb setup you had on there!

In my 06 sxr I am running a group k big bore sleeper kit with the stock pipe, which has been modified by group k. Even ran the stock impeller and intake until recently. Looks totally stock. Runs very strong from off the bottom to top end. Like group k says its like a stocker on steroids. All my friends have superjets from limited to full mods and none them can out accelerate or get me on top end.
Give Harry a call and see if he can do your pipe. I am pretty sure he drys it out a little and redirects the cooling.

I have talked with Harry multiple times.... It is good to hear your 800 sleeper works well. Unfortunatly, I cannot use the "STOCK" pipe from the 750sxi because the motor is in an x2. I was trying to get it to work with a 650 FPP, that G.K. bored, but with ZERO luck. Harry thought the problem was electrical, but I have since swapped out EVERY elec. componant!!! Harry rebuilt/jetted 2 of the carbs I tried, but both had the same result (RPM capped @ 3800, without "hopping" the pump out of water)

I am @ a loss, but am trying differnent exhausts to see if that FPP is what is the issue.

Anyone else have experience with "SXR" sleeper kit and wet pipe ?? Also, I almost went the 849 big bore route and decided to go pipe instead........
