Anyone ever use a girdled head made by these guys? Greater Performance.

I have a brand new one I am putting on my 07 Build.

Why do you ask? I only ask because someone just bought one off ebay that I wanted and am hoping for a second chance for it. Was that you? lol

nah brother...i saw that one your talking about it and haven't heard of one b4. Lemme know how it works out. I think Dirkdiggler has it for sale. I saw his thread on PWC with the same stuff listed.

I ran one for years on a Blaster I had. Never once had a problem. The girdle kit is a little weird. I prefer the heads that use the entire head shell to sandwhich the cylinder. The Greater Yamaha one used brackets to tie the outer 4 +/- head bolts to the cases. Hope that helps.

Was yours like this one? I think there were different generations of them. The first ones suffered from Dome Rotation so changes were made.

No, mine was nothing like that. It looks like a non-girdled head shell that they made brackets for to make it girdled.

I have used a Greater Yamaha head for almost 7 years now. Zero issues...

I use to run them but had had issues with cracked domes. Since they are no longer available, neither are the domes .

Mine uses the same domes as several other heads on the market. Mine must be one of the newer ones maybe?

Here's another reason...it's a two piece head. More o-rings to deal with

ADA is a no brainer. One piece head with domes that never crack and are readily available just about anywhere you shop

Yea that is true...the few times I have rebuilt this head I had to use a lot of O rings.

No! two different heads

The one I got is in great condition....complete with all hardware....and includes and extra dome!

I do see people selling domes for these Greater Heads from time to time on here and PWCtoday.com.

I have heard that some domes are interchangeable.......Im not 100% positive what ones are though........I have just seen it mentioned before!
