I ran one for years on a Blaster I had. Never once had a problem. The girdle kit is a little weird. I prefer the heads that use the entire head shell to sandwhich the cylinder. The Greater Yamaha one used brackets to tie the outer 4 +/- head bolts to the cases. Hope that helps.
Was yours like this one? I think there were different generations of them. The first ones suffered from Dome Rotation so changes were made.
My RIVA girdled head looks a lot like that. Does anyone know if they the same? All the o-rings/gaskets are a PITA.
